Cedar Rapids Police have made five additional arrests related to the brawl that occurred Monday afternoon at the Cedar Valley Townhomes, 3000 J St. SW.
According to Cedar Rapids Police Spokesman Greg Buelow on Friday evening three minors — ages 14, 17, and 17 — were charged with rioting. One of the 17-year-olds was also charged with interference with official acts.
A fourth individual, Larenzo Burnett, 18, was charged with rioting as well.
On Saturday, a 15-year-old was also arrested in connection with the fight.
This brings the total for arrests related to the fight up to nine people.
Buelow also said that the investigation is continuing and more arrests are expected.
'We are hearing that residents are pleased about these arrests and officers recognizing some individuals that attempted to break up the fights,' Buelow said in an email.
