According to a Linn County Media Release, at approximately 1:45 p.m. Linn County Deputies received a report of a two-vehicle accident in the area of Williams Blvd. and Highway 30.
Upon arriving, officers determined that a vehicle driven by Leah Bolton, 39, of Cedar Rapids 'had pulled into oncoming traffic” as she attempted to go from the Highway 30 west bound ramp to go south onto Williams Blvd. According to the release, Madalyn Baughan, 17, of Cedar Rapids had been heading north on Williams Blvd. at this time and was across Highway 30 when she struck Bolton's vehicle.
Both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.
