Sep. 24, 2018 3:18 pm
Marion police say a juvenile is facing a harassment charge after he or she was allegedly tied to a school threat.
Police said they were notified at about 6 p.m. Sunday to a social media post that contained a threat to a school in the Linn-Mar Community School District. Police did not specify the nature of the treat.
The matter, they said, was immediately investigated and a juvenile was charged with third-degree harassment.
Police said they do not believe the juvenile acted in malice but was charged due to 'the unnecessary concern it caused community wide regarding school safety.”
