CEDAR RAPIDS - A 60-year-old man faces theft charges after he used a stolen credit card to buy merchandise at a Casey's General Store in southwest Cedar Rapids, police said.
Arthur Barbine of Cedar Rapids is charged with unauthorized use of a credit card and theft.
A 30-year-old woman reported that her wallet was stolen from Elite Orthodontics, 222 Edgewood Rd. NW, the morning of Feb. 12, according to Cedar Rapids police.
Police said she later was alerted someone was using a bank card stolen with the wallet.
Video surveillance from the Casey's was used to identify the suspect.
Police said Barbine used the woman's bank card at three businesses, including Casey's.
Barbine was charged Tuesday at the Linn County Jail, where he was in custody on a separate charge.
