Lisa Diane Gevock, 39, passed from this life Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Dunn's Funeral Home,
located at 2121 Grand Ave., Des Moines, where the family will also greet friends for one hour before the service. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in East Pleasant Plain, Iowa, at a later date.
Lisa was born Aug. 27, 1974, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Joseph and Gail (Hix) Gevock. She graduated from Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids and received her BA degree from UNI. Lisa was employed with Principal Financial Group in Des Moines.
Lisa is survived and lovingly remembered by her parents of Swisher; two sisters, Laura (Jeff) Carder of Bastrop, Texas, and Linda (Jim) Crispin of West Des Moines; four nieces, Emily and Abby Thalma and Sarah and Grace Carder; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents, four uncles and niece, Rebecca Carder.
