My name is Kingsley Botchway II and I'm currently mayor pro tem of the Iowa City Council, just finishing up my first term in office.
I love Iowa City and believe we can accomplish great things together moving forward. Please support me as I engage Iowa City residents on the issues to improve Iowa City in a more welcoming and inclusive way.
Below are issues I intend to focus our community's attention on during the campaign. However, this is far from a complete list, and I plan on discussing the issues most important to you as we strive to make the future brighter for all of Iowa City's residents.
' Work on further increasing affordable housing, activities to encourage healthy living, and equitable allocation of resources.
' Continue to spur smart growth and support our local, small businesses throughout Iowa City.
' Become a leader in addressing mental health through training and providing adequate funding
Over the next four years, I will continue to bring a balanced approach to council decisions to ensure we are doing what is in the best interest of all of our residents. I will strive for collaborative leadership and inclusion to ensure various viewpoints and voices are represented. We will together move Iowa City forward for the better.
' Kingsley Botchway II is a candidate for Iowa City Council, At-Large
