Julie A. Snyder-Klinger, 56, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, March 28, 2014, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be held
Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 6 p.m. and after noon at the chapel on Wednesday. Private Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Flip; her mother, Patricia Snyder of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Jeannie (Dave Roberts) Snyder-Douglas of Des Moines; a stepdaughter, Shantel Klinger of Chicago; stepsons, Matt (Jane) Klinger of Washington, D.C., and Brad (Molly) Klinger of Cedar Rapids; nephews, Brian J. (Dan) Douglas of Des Moines, Michael B. Douglas of Naperville, Ill., and Jared R. Snyder of Hood River, Ore.; a stepgranddaughter, Zoey Klinger of Washington, D.C.; a stepgrandson, Malcolm Klinger of Cedar Rapids; and a great-nephew, Sylis Snyder of Hood River, Ore.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert J. Snyder; and a brother, Steven R. Snyder.
Julie was born Aug. 30, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Patricia (Pierson) Snyder. She married Phillip D. Klinger "Flip" on June 18, 1993, in Cedar Rapids. Julie was a financial professional and vice president for Morgan Stanley in Cedar Rapids, with over 30 years of experience. She was active with Tanager Place and with the Tennis & Pool Committee at Elmcrest.
Julie loved to spend time at Lake of the Ozarks, visit Florida, was an avid reader, lover of dogs and an impeccable cook. Her spare time was enjoyed spending time designing jewelry for her family and friends. Julie was a friend to everyone and loved by all.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
