Ormiston, Charles F.
Charles F. Ormiston, 61, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, where visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial: private at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his mother, Mildred K. Ormiston of Cedar Rapids; three brothers, Ken D. Ormiston of Vinton, Dean R. (Hope) Ormiston, Maynard C. Ormiston, and a sister, Carol K. Ormiston, all of Cedar Rapids; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Francis C. Ormiston.
Charles was born Jan. 31, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Francis and Mildred (Pexa) Ormiston. Charles retired from Whirlpool in Amana after 34 years of service. He served in the Navy during Vietnam. Charles had a cabin on the Wapsipinicon River. He loved fishing, boating, riding motorcycles and country westerns. Charles also enjoyed spending time with his family.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
