Grimm, Keith R.
Keith R. Grimm, 73, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy following an extended illness. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; children, Michael Grimm and wife Brenda, Brian Grimm and wife Mi Sun, and Julia Hawley and husband Brad; grandchildren, Brandon, Bryce, Broghan, Brayden and Brett; and his sisters, Bonnie Schaffner and Vonda Netser.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Maxine.
Keith Randall Grimm was born July 14, 1938, in Millersburg, Iowa, the son of Arnold W. and Fern L. (Shaull) Grimm. Following graduation from Millersburg High School, he entered the United States Army and served honorably in Korea. He was united in marriage to Mary Louise Tischer on Feb. 4, 1961, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion. He was retired from the banking industry, where he worked in data systems analysis. He was a 38 year member of the Indian Creek Country Club, where he was an avid golfer. He was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a life long fan of the Iowa HawkeyesHis greatest enjoyment was time spent with family, especially his five beloved grandsons. He was a loving husband, devoted father and beloved grandfather who will be greatly missed.
Memorial donations in Keith's honor may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor's choosing.
