Michael G. Montgomery, 47, of Chelsea, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, from a tree cutting accident. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at Christ United Methodist Church, Belle Plaine, by the Rev. Steven Hubbell. He will be cremated following the service. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.

He is survived by his wife, Tracy; daughters, Rachel and Danielle Montgomery, at home; father, Errol (Martha) Montgomery of Swisher; mother, Marilyn Montgomery of Alburnett; brother, David Montgomery of Iowa City; sister, Sharon (Jim) Schulte of Alburnett; parents-in-law, Sharon and David Ward of Cedar Rapids; brothers-in-law, Rich Lueders of Cedar Rapids, Jon (Diana) Ward of Cedar Rapids and Jim (Laurie) Ward of Cannonburg, Pa.; sisters-in-law, Julie Ryan of Ankeny and Marcie Sawyer of Dittmer, Mo.; 23 nieces and nephews; six great-nieces and great-nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial fund has been established for his daughters.
