Strickland, Allen L.
Allen L. Strickland, 35, of 2126 Ninth St. SW, Cedar Rapids, died Oct. 6, 2011. Memorial services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at CrossRoads Mission, 1006 Second St. SW, by Chaplain D.E. Pat Kane. Private inurnment will be held in Florida. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Born March 16, 1976, in Gainesville, Fla., Allen was the son of Robert and Linda (Harger) Strickland. He worked as a shade tree mechanic.
Survivors include his mother, Linda; daughter, Deborah Julis of Cedar Rapids; stepdaughter, Ashley Julis; stepgranddaughter, Annabella; adopted niece, Andrea Schropp; and sister, Carla Strickland of Ocala, Fla.
Allen was preceded in death by his father.
