Holliday, Alfreda E. McBride

Alfreda E. McBride Holliday, 68, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, May 4, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Funeral: noon Tuesday, May 8, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, by Minister Stephanie Brooks. Visitation: one hour before the service. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include her daughters, Sharon McBride of Chicago, LaVerne McBride of Cedar Rapids and Janice Whiteside of Cedar Rapids; brothers, Gilbert Warren of Arizona, George Warren of Cedar Rapids, Atlee Warren and Kenneth Warren, and sisters, Sandra Allison and Linda Petty, all of Chicago, Helen Fisher of Cedar Rapids and Edna Honour of California; 21 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Alfreda was born Jan. 16, 1944, in Chicago, the daughter of Charles Brooken and Ethel Matthews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; two sisters, Debra Smith and Regina Bouzek Warren; and an infant sister, Julia Mae.
