Keister, Paul M.
Paul M. Keister, 46, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City from a brief illness. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 21, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Brosh Chapel. A private family inurnment will be at a later date.
Paul was born Jan. 17, 1966, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Kaye and Laura (Hamer) Keister. He graduated from Washington High School in 1984. He owned and operated Keister Construction from 1990 until present.
Paul was an avid Hawkeye and Bears fan; we know they will not lose in heaven. Paul's family and friends always came first. He could never refuse a favor asked. He was a good son and father, he loved his family, brother, sisters, and parents unconditionally. His passing will leave a void in many hearts.
Paul is survived by his children, Zach (Ashtin) Keister, Matt (Bailey) Keister and Savannah Keister; a granddaughter, Ella Keister; his mother, Laura Keister; a brother, William Keister; and his sister, Kristen (Paul) Trovas; as well as his nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Jackie Keister.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
