Janey, Jarin DeWayne
Jarin DeWayne Janey, 18, of Shellsburg, lost his life in an accident just two seconds from his home on Thursday, July 30, 2009. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m., Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Urbana, by Father David Ambrosy. Visitation: 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the church with prayers at 6 p.m. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point.
Survivors include his parents, DeWayne and Gloria; sisters, Cara Kohrs of Oklahoma, Dawn (Matt) Wernett of Vinton, Amber (Brandon) Streets of Anamosa, and Katlyn Janey of Marion; brothers, Hunter (Jessica) Campbell of Van Horne and Dylan Janey of Shellsburg; many aunts, uncles and cousins; niece and fairy godchild, Zoey Kohrs; and nephews, Adam, Jacob, Matthew, James, J.D., Keegan, Karson, Hudson and Landon.
Born July 28, 1991, in Cedar Rapids, Jarin was the son of DeWayne Janey of Cedar Rapids and Gloria (Kohrs) Janey of Shellsburg. He graduated from Center Point-Urbana High School in 2009. Jarin previously worked for Northbrook Care Center and was currently employed at McDonalds.
Jarin had a strong hidden faith. He loved his family and friends and spending time with them as well as his music. As #43, he enjoyed racing motocross and didn't enjoy when his little brother, Dylan, beat him. Jarin was very unique and smart and had a lot to offer the world.
A memorial fund has been established in Jarin's memory.
