MARGARET GRAHAM BELL

Margaret Graham Bell passed away Dec. 18, 2013, in Morganton, N.C., after a long and happy life. A memorial service to celebrate Margaret's life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service with the Rev. Dr. Barrie Tritle officiating. The family will greet friends after 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Foundation or the American Cancer
Society.
Sarah Margaret Turner was born in Hansel, Iowa, to Al and Ruth West Turner on Oct, 18, 1923. Most of her youth was spent in Pocahontas, Iowa. She graduated from the University of Iowa in 1944, married Don Graham in 1945, and they resided in Iowa City. Don died in 1986. In 1990, Marg married Dr. Ira Bell and moved to North Carolina.
Marg had many friends and family members in Iowa City. Some may remember her as a second grade teacher at Hoover Elementary School. She is missed by friends and relatives who have appreciated her beauty, wit and kindness.
Marg was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; sister, Evelyn Norman; and brother, Jim Turner.
Her survivors include her husband, Dr. Ira Bell; children, Nancy (Gary) Pacha of Iowa City, Peg Graham (Jim Marshall) of Athens, Ga., and Bob (Peggy) Graham of Longmont, Colo.; grandchildren, Caroline (Blake) Schultz, Kristin (Dan) Arkema, Ryan Graham, Steven Graham, Alex Graham, Kevin Kissler, Laura Mason-Marshall (Scott Schmidt), Jacob Mason-Marshall and Abbi Mason-Marshall; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Sofia, Nadia and Sasha Schultz and Jack, Mace and Max Arkema; and many nieces and nephews.
