June was born in Turtle Creek, Penn. on June 1, 1920 and returned to her beloved Lord on April 28, 2009 at age 88 surrounded by family at her home in Gig Harbor, Washington. June spent her early years in Pittsburg, Penn. and at age ten, moved to Edinburg, Texas where she graduated from Edinburg Jr. College spring of 1940. That fall she ventured to New York City, met Robert (Bob) Bradley and married the following year in Augusta, Georgia. When war erupted in 1942, Bob went off to serve his country and June moved to Iowa to be with his family. When he returned they settled in Cedar Rapids where he worked for Kwik-Way as a mechanical engineer.
June's life was full of family, faith and service to this community. A lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church, June served in all posts and advisory positions. Her passion was community outreach and was instrumental in creating and leading many civic programs through the church. Her first was a neighborhood preschool program for underprivileged children in conjunction with the adjacent YWCA. June later founded and chaired a SE Asian Refugee Relocation coalition and the Sunday Evening Meals program that is still in place today. June was a loving mother, a friend to all and living example of God's grace.
