Lyman, John Barclay
John Barclay Lyman, 71, died Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, in his home following a lengthy illness. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at First Congregational UCC in Belle Plaine by the Rev. Pete Hagglund. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Hrabak Funeral Home, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m., and one hour before the service at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Florence; daughter, Karen Lyman of St. Joseph, Mo.; son, Alan (Karen) Lyman of Cambridge, Ill.; sister, June (William) Agnew of Summerville, S.C.; and three grandchildren, Andrea, Lauren and Justin Lyman.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Congregational UCC, Belle Plaine; El Kahir Shrine, Cedar Rapids; American Cancer Society/Benton; St. Luke's Hospice, Cedar Rapids, or a charity of your choice.
