Jeffrey Lee Matheny, 54, of Marion, died Monday, March 3, 2014. Private family services will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.

He is survived by his son, Cameron Matheny of Cedar Rapids; daughter, Nicole Matheny of Iowa City; brother, Dennis Fritz (Jean) of Columbus Junction; sister, Gloria Baker (Fred) of Marion; sister, Sandra Matheny of Cedar Rapids; brother, David Matheny (Susan) of Solon; sister, Sherry Kubicek of Cedar Rapids; brother, Michael Matheny of Iowa City; several nieces and nephews; and many, many friends who will miss him.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James "Jim" Fritz.
Jeff was born Jan. 13, 1960, in Cedar Rapids, to Harry Raymond and Esther Lorraine (Sundberg) Matheny. He worked at Quaker Oats for more than 25 years and was still employed there in the shipping department.
He was a loving and supportive father. His biggest joy was spending time with his family. Jeff was a car enthusiast, especially Mustangs. He was a jack of all trades and a talented handyman and he loved doing it.
