Fielder, Henry Richard
Henry ?Richard? Fiedler, 77, died Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Genesis Medical Center in Davenport. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Hopkinton. Father John Kramer will officiate at the service. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Goettsch Funeral Home in Hopkinton. Interment will be at the Hopkinton Cemetery.

Surviving are his daughter, Joyce (Lance) Nelson of Davenport; three stepchildren, Penny Hogan of Dubuque, Paula (Dale) Soderstruem of Dodgeville, Wis., and Doug (Kristine) Hogan of Littleton, Iowa; two sisters, Deloris Bacon of Florida and Laura lee (Jerry) Maiers of Aurora, Iowa; two brothers, Clarence Fiedler of Hopkinton and Jim (Sharon) of Earlville; seven grandchildren; 13 stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 11 stepgreat-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ralph Fiedler; a granddaughter, Brittany Nelson; nephew, Mark Fiedler; and sister-in-law, Caroline Fiedler.
Henry Richard Fiedler was born July 25, 1932, in Hopkinton, Iowa, the son of Lawrence and Opal (Bowers) Fiedler. Henry served in the United States Army Air Corps during the Korean War. On May 25, 1960, Henry and Arlene Hogan were united in marriage in Hopkinton. Henry spent most of his life as a grain truck driver. He was a member of the Hopkinton American Legion and he loved to fish.
Henry will be missed dearly by those closest to him.
