Smith, Phyllis L.
Phyllis L. Smith, 91, died Monday, Nov. 15, 2010, at the English Valley Care Center in North English following a brief illness. Funeral services: 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, Trinity United Church of Christ, rural Marengo, with the Rev. Bev Thompson-Travis officiating. Burial in Zion Cemetery, rural Ladora. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo.
Memorials may be contributed to Trinity United Church of Christ or the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance in honor of Phyllis' granddaughter, Amy McMartin, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Sandra Stephens of Littleton, Colo., Janice Albury (Ted) of Cedar Rapids, and Carol Dale of Deep River; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
