OTHER DEATHS - Billy Wayne Marshburn, 72, of Rock Hill, S.C., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at India Hook United Methodist Church, Rock Hill, with the Rev. Steven Gaither officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Road, Rock Hill. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd., Rock Hill, S.C.

A native of Jacksonville, N.C., Mr. Marshburn was a son of the late Edward Carl Marshburn and the late Eunice Justice Marshburn. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of India Hook United Methodist Church. He was retired from Control Southeast Inc. in Pineville, N.C., with 20 years of service. He was an avid hunter and gardener.

Surviving are his wife, Sandy Marshburn; his sons, Bob Marshburn and his wife, Ina, of Rock Hill, S.C., and Gary Marshburn and his wife, Susan, of Greenville, S.C.; his daughter, Kerri Smith and her husband, Cye, of Taylors, S.C.; and his grandchildren, Justin Marshburn and Brindle and Eli Smith.
