BELLE PLAINE - LaVaun D. Edwards, 85, a resident of Higley Mansion, Cedar Rapids, formerly of Belle Plaine, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following a short illness. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine, by the Rev. Jim Campbell. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
She is survived by a brother, Marvin (MaryAnn) Keller of Grinnell; three granddaughters, Annette (Jeff) Lockwood of Falling Waters, W.Va., Tressa Scott of Cedar Rapids and Tara Sloan of Marion; and two great-grandsons, Cole Scott and Connor Thompson.
