Hannelore Yoder, 83, of Marion, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014, at her home after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday.
Survivors include her
husband, Julius; two daughters, Linda (Michael) Bauer of Grand Marais, Minn., and Jennifer (Shawn) Rigby of Huxley; and a son, James of Tiffin. She also is survived by seven grandchildren, R.J. Krohn, Kylie, Kayci and Skyler Rigby and Brandon, Andrew and James Yoder; and two great-grand-children, Caleb and Charlie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kenneth; and two sisters.
Hannelore was born Aug. 23, 1931, in Frankfurt, Germany, the daughter of Carl and Maria Goy. She married Julius H. Yoder on Oct. 12, 1951, in Frankfurt while Julius was stationed with the U.S. Air Force in Germany.
Hannelore was in sales and management at the Skandia Store for over eight years. She enjoyed gardening and reading and was an avid runner, participating in 5K, 10K, half marathons and triathlons.
Hannelore was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial fund has been established.
