Angela "Muttie" C. Gretten, 69, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, at St. Luke's Living Center East. Celebration of Life services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Brosh Chapel. A private family inurnment will be at a later date.
Angela was born Nov. 29, 1944, in West Berlin, Germany, the daughter of Gerda Hauke. She married Henry Arthur Gretten in West Berlin, Germany, in 1964. Angela was very proud of becoming a U.S. citizen on Oct. 16, 1977. She enjoyed cooking, going to bingo and spending time with her family and friends.
Angela is survived by her children, Henry (Pam) Gretten, Jacqueline Mae (Larken) Hodges, Deanna Gretten and Nolita Gretten; 10 grand-children, Tiffany, Drew, Keri, Zachary, Bryce, Mercedes, Brandon, Nick, Dakota and Alexa, 10 great-grandchildren; her sister, Sabina Hauke of Germany; and her extended family, the Robinsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry; and a daughter, Susan Hauke.
