Carolyn E. Kearns, 94, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014. A private family graveside service will take place Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Carolyn Elizabeth Kearns was born June 24, 1920, to James and Mary (Schmidt) Moore in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She married Herbert Hildrith Kearns in 1938.
She is survived by her daughter, Jan (Wayne) Townsend; and her son, David; seven grand-children; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Doris (Don) Adams; and sister-in-law, Emily Davis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; son and daughter-in-law, Herbert and Beverly Kearns; daughters, Mary-Jean and Nancy Kearns; and her grandson, Roger Kearns.
