Lucille (Schatzle) Estling, 95, of Omaha, Neb., formerly of Coggon, died Tuesday, July 22, 2014.
Lucille was born Dec. 22, 1918, to Albert and Bessie Barker Schatzle near Coggon, Iowa. She married Paul Estling on Dec. 4, 1940, in Coggon. He preceded her in death Nov. 20, 1983. She and her husband lived and worked together on a farm near Coggon for 43 years before retiring and moving to Coggon in 1983.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda (David) Hinton of Omaha; two grandchildren, Brad (Christie) Hinton and Sherry (Stacy) Brand, both of Omaha; five great-grand-children; two stepgreat-grandchildren; three sisters, Mae Crosby of Marion, Martha (John) Morris of Center Point and Mary (Norm) Strief of Marion; one brother, Eugene Schatzle of Kansas City; one sister-in-law, Pauline Schatzle; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Lester Schatzle of Alburnett.
Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. at the chapel on Saturday. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
