Welsh, Susan E.
Susan E. Welsh, 76, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at Northbrook Manor Care Center in Cedar Rapids. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her two nieces, Tamara Rodriguez and Paula (Jeff) Larson; nephew, Thomas (Linda) Bell; brother-in-law, George Bell; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Nancy Bell.
Born Feb. 17, 1937, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Susan was the daughter of Fred and Dorathy (Morgan) Welsh. She graduated from St. Luke's School of Nursing and was the director at Family Health Center before her retirement after a 37-year nursing career.
One of her greatest joys was showing dogs at dog shows around the country and she was very active in the humane society for many years.
