Froehle, Mary Therese
Mary Therese Froehle
Mary Therese Froehle passed away March 20, 2013, with many loved ones at her side.
She was born July 29, 1929, in St. Paul, Minn., to James and Edith Rowe, and was married to John R. “Jack” Froehle on May 26, 1951. Therese and Jack began their lives together in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where they raised their family and lived for 27 years. They later moved to Baxter, Minn., where they resided for 15 years before she retired as director of Hospital Support Services. In 1993, they moved to Florissant, Colo., and then to Colorado Springs.
She was a loving wife and wonderful mother and mother in-law. She was a gifted seamstress who enjoyed reading, movies, theatre, and an occasional Manhattan. She took great pride in her nursing career that spanned 43 years. As a caring and gifted RN she touched many lives and volunteered her time generously in retirement, notably in the planning and development of the two new Teller County Libraries. She was a devout Catholic who embodied her faith.
She is survived by her husband, John “Jack” of Colorado Springs; and nine children, Michael (Jeanette), Patricia, Maureen Keate (Steve), Jean Marks (Jeff), Shawne Gross (Bill), Mary Kay Pucci (Bob), Thomas (Mary Jo), Mark (Leila) and John (Christine). Eighteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, James, Maurice and Joseph.
She was a rock of support to all who loved her.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 927 N. Logan Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80909 on Tuesday, March 26, at 11:30 a.m. There will be a viewing at the church one hour before the service.
In lieu of flowers, Therese requested donations be made to Prospect Home Care & Hospice in Woodland Park, Colo. (www.
prospecthch.org) or Catholic Charities of Central Colorado (www.ccharitiescs.org).
