Joslin, Fred Allen
Fred Allen Joslin, 75, died Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Moundview Manor in Marion. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, at Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa. Pastor Edwin Moreano will officiate at the service. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Chapel Cemetery, rural Anamosa.
Surviving are his brother, James (Virginia) Joslin of Marion; sister, Vivian (Dennis) Siemer of Mankato, Minn.; a sister-in-law, Bonnie of Cape Cod, Mass.; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Donald and Keith.
Fred (Allen) was born Jan. 5, 1938, in Anamosa, Iowa, the son of Fred and Dorothea Bates Joslin. Fred was a 1956 graduate of Clinton High School in Clinton, Iowa. Fred served his country in the United States Navy. He was a foreman for Yonkers in the shipping and handling department for more than 20 years.
Fred enjoyed watching television, doing word searches, taking walks, going to Milestones in Marion and visiting with the Milestone and Moundview residents.
