Blegen, Myrle Drury
Myrle Drury Blegen, 97 1/2, died May 11, 2013 at Maple Glen Assisted Living, Shelton, Wash.
She was born Oct. 16, 1915, in Preston, Minn. She married Norris Blegen on Nov. 24, 1941; they were married for over 61 years. She worked many years for Sears in its credit department. She was a longtime member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Marion. Myrle moved to Shelton, Wash., in 2002 to be near family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norris (2003); and daughter, Barbara Flack (2012).
She is survived by a daughter, Virginia “Ginny” Seminara (Fred); four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be interred at Tahoma National Cemetery in Covington, Wash. A memorial service is planned for Oct. 6 at Ascension Lutheran Church, Marion. Forest Funeral Home, Shelton, Wash., handled arrangements.
