Rudin, Alice Amanda Ida
Alice Amanda Ida Rudin died Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at Highland Ridge Care Center, Williamsburg, at the age of 90 years.
Alice was born March 28, 1923, near Homestead, Iowa, the daughter of Adolph and Ida (Newkirk) Hudepohl. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School. On April 27, 1947, she married Paul Albert Rudin at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Williamsburg. They lived on the farm south of Marengo until moving to Highland Ridge in 2011.
Alice was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Conroy, the church choir and ESR. She enjoyed bowling for over 50 years and playing cards.
She is survived by two sons, Steve (LaRae) of North Liberty and Eugene (Phillis) of Marengo; three grandchildren, Kelly, Todd and Brandon; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lucille Bell of Williamsburg.
She was preceded by her parents; husband, Paul; a son, Charles; great-granddaughter, Cara; two brothers, Reno Hudepohl and Orville Hudepohl; and two sisters, Minerva Schmidt and Irma Wardenburg.
Celebration of Life service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 14, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Conroy. Pastor Gary Sears will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Conroy. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg.
A memorial fund has been established for Trinity Lutheran Church, Conroy, and Essence of Life Hospice.
