Mark A. Hogan, 84, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at his home in Independence. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Winthrop. Burial: St. Patrick's Cemetery, Winthrop. Friends may call from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Monday and until 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fawcett Funeral Home, Winthrop. A Scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home,
Survivors include nine children, Joan (Dennis) Sommerfelt of Walker, Carol (Mike) Williams of Merrill, Mark (Jackie) Hogan of Independence, Dean (Sue) Hogan of Independence, Robin Kress of Quasqueton, Christine (Stewart) Bagley of Independence, Pat Hogan of Mediapolis, Michelle O'Brien of Belle Plaine and Mellissa (Kevin) Bergom of Belle Plaine; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one brother John C. (Margaret) Hogan of Winthrop; and one sister-in-law, Lucille Hogan of Winthrop.
