Moats, Linda Elaine (Edwards)
Linda Elaine (Edwards) Moats, 66, of Marion, passed away Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following a brief illness. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Chuck; her children, Terri (Jim) Anderson of Marion and Becky (Jaime) Stolba of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Allison, Jessica and Parker; one great-granddaughter, Isabella; and three sisters, Kathy (Ken) Jones of Anchorage, Alaska, Jayne Sears of Aurora, Colo. and Julie (Bob) Bollig of Scott's Bluff, Neb.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Linda was born Dec. 11, 1946, in Mendota, Ill., the daughter of Russell and Esther (Robinson) Edwards. She graduated from Loveland High School in Loveland, Colo., with the Class of 1965. Linda married Charles William Moats on April 21, 1968, in Loveland. She was a talent placement agent for Frank Magid Associates for 20 years, until her retirement in July of 2003. Linda enjoyed genealogy, reading and traveling the country for seven years with Chuck in their RV after retirement.
