Anderson, Edith Marilyn

Edith Marilyn Anderson, 83, of Alburnett, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, Nov. 18, 2013. A celebration of life will be Dec. 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hiawatha Community Center, 101 Emmons St., Hiawatha.

Edith is survived by her sons, Everett “Butch” (Diana) and David; a daughter, Penny; a sister, Donna Dunkel; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Harger and Doris Strait; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and beloved pet, B.J., who loves carrots.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl; a son, Steven; and siblings, Arless and Clayton Harger.

Edith was born April 29, 1930, to Everett and Leitha (Nietert) Harger. She married Earl Anderson on Jan. 10, 1948. She retired after many years at Square D. Edith loved to crochet, collect various keepsakes and trout fish with her husband.

The family would like to send a heartfelt Thank You to her granddaughter, Nicole Abben, and the Mercy Hospice staff for her wonderful care.
