Tuttle, Harriett M.
Harriett M. Tuttle, 93, a resident of Willow Gardens, died there Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, after a long illness. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Church of the Nazarene, Cedar Rapids, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Timothy Carter will officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include three sons, Vernon (Linda) of Kalona, Clifford (Tracy) of Boulder, Colo., and Rick (Jill) of Hiawatha; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant son, John; five brothers and two sisters.
Harriett was born April 9, 1920, in Marengo, the daughter of Everett and Hazel Miller Slaymaker. She married Beverly “B.V.” Tuttle on Sept. 23, 1946, in Cedar Rapids. He died in July 2013.
Harriett was a faithful member of First Church of the Nazarene. She was a homemaker as well as being a home health care provider for many years. Harriett enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, crocheting, spending time with her friends and family and especially loving and praising the Lord.
Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial donations may be given to First Church of the Nazarene.
