Dana, Ellen 'Lynne'
Ellen “Lynne” Dana, 92, of Marion, formerly of California, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, at Winslow House Care Center, Marion. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in California. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include her children, Martin (Jacqueline) Dana, Sydney (Joseph) Dully and Roger (Armella) Dana; grandchildren, Jennifer Landry, Jean-Daniel Dana and Joseph Dana; and two great-grandchildren, Abigail Landry and Matthew Landry.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger; and sister, Naomi Slawson.
Lynne was born June 8, 1921, in Spokane, Wash., the daughter of James and Clara (Alley) Pershall. She was married to Roger Dana on Aug. 22, 1942. Roger passed away in 2000. Lynne was a published poet and a keen enforcer of proper English.
