Freida C. Schwab, 85, of Oxford, died Monday, May 26, 2014, at the Parkview Care Center in Wellman. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 31, at the Oxford
United Methodist Church with burial to follow at the Oxford Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church.
A memorial fund has been established in Freida's memory.

Freida Charlene Schwab was born Jan. 27, 1929, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Emma (Kahler) Schwab. She attended rural Johnson County country schools near Oxford. For many years, she cleaned homes for families of this area. She also was the custodian for her church, Oxford United Methodist Church, for years.
Her family includes her sister, Mary Prizler of Williamsburg; two nephews; five great-nieces and nephews; and two great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-nephew.
