Enid Lucille Martin, 91, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, March 22, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital after a short illness. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Teahen Funeral Home by the Rev. Lucille King. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Enid is survived by her son, Curtis (Nam) of Accokeek, Md.; daughter-in-law, Patricia (Arch) Martin-Cooper of Mount Vernon; three granddaughters, Nicoli (Jason) Simmons, Candi Martin and Carrie (Joseph) Moore; one grandson, Timothy (Brittany) Martin; three great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Aiden, Shyann and one on the way; sister, Grace Palmer; and brother, Bill (Lavelle) McQuiston, both of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland (2011); son, Robert H. Martin; and brother, James McQuiston.
Enid was born June 25, 1923, in Colfax, the daughter of William and Anna McQuiston. She married Leland Ray Martin on April 29, 1950, in Cedar Rapids. She worked at Cherry Burrell as a secretary in purchasing for 26 years.
Enid enjoyed going out to dinner and playing cards with friends on Friday evenings, doing crossword puzzles and roller skating. Enid and Leland enjoyed traveling and visited all 50 states.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Luke's Hospice.
