Lori McCormick, 53, of Marion, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 6, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital,
Cedar Rapids.
Lori was a wonderful soul who always found the best in people. She knew exactly what to say when it needed to be said whether it made you laugh or cry. She always had a witty comeback for anything and pulled no punches when it came to how she felt. She loved the company of good friends and family, just hanging out with her dog, Legless, at her side, laughing and living in the moment. She was the life of every party, always quick with a joke or funny story.
Lori was a great friend and loving mother whose light will continue to shine, with her dogs, Twig, Woody and Tally at her side, telling jokes and being the life of the party forever in heaven.
Lori was preceded in death by her mother, Carol; her father, Ray; and her sisters, Andrea and Dana.
She is survived by her brothers, Lance and Kirk; sons, Josh (Krystal), Jacob (Nikki) and Jeffrey; a daughter, Annya; 12 grandchildren; her soulmate, Randy; and her dog, Legless.
Lori was an organ donor and even in death she helped others in need.
A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
