Robin Smith, 48, of Baxter, Tenn., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died June 2, 2014, in Baxter. Services will be at a later date.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; her father, Herbert Rothberg; her children, Matthew and Jennifer Smith; her sisters, Anita Johnson, Wendy Rothberg and Davidine Johnson; nine nieces and nephews; two great-nieces; as well as many uncles, aunts and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Stella VanOurney; and both sets of grandparents.
Robin was born Aug. 25, 1965, in Union, N.J., and moved to Iowa at a young age. She graduated from the College Community School District in Cedar Rapids in 1983. After school, she attended Denison Job Corps, where she met her husband. They were united in marriage in 1985 and had two beautiful children: a son and a daughter, whom Robin treasured. She was always there for them.
Robin moved to Baxter, Tenn., in 2006. She was treasurer of the Highland Regional Council, a position which was dear to her heart. She was loved and befriended by many people in her community.
She will be greatly missed.
