Faye Long, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Jan. 1, 2014, in Colleyville, Texas. A memorial service will be held Jan. 11 in Colleyville.
Faye was born Nov. 8, 1929, in Denver, Mo., to Everett and Pauline Stevens. She received her bachelor's degree in education at Northwest Missouri State University in May 1951 and her master's degree at the University of Denver in August 1956. She met John, her husband of 50 years, in Denver and they were married in September 1956. Faye taught elementary school for many years and enjoyed traveling.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband, John.
She is survived by her son, John Long, daughter-in-law, Sue, and grandchildren, Alyssa and Matt, of North Wales, Pa.; daughter, Lynda Agnew, son-in-law, Gary, and grandchildren, Mike and Lauren, of Colleyville, Texas; sister, Phyllis Adams of Thornton, Colo.; and brothers, Darrell Stevens of Mission, Texas and Walter Stevens of Fort Myers, Fla., and their families.
