Manuel "Many" Martinez, 28, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully Thursday,
May 29, 2014.
He was laid to rest at St. John's Cemetery.
Survivors include the love of his life, Sidney McNamara; sons, Marian, Madden and Mason; his mother, Maria Soledad Martinez; his brothers, Marcos Martinez and wife Monica, Joe Ahedo and Jesse Martinez; sisters, Lupe and Craig Kettleson, Tina and husband Kevin Hutchison, Aurora and Nathan Jiroutek, Margarita and husband Kyron Clayton, Monica and husband Juan Roa, Consuelo Martinez Lourdes and husband Robert Irwin and Carmen Toney; in-law, Shawn McNamara; nephews, Chayton, Kassidy Jr., Elijah, Enyeto, Josiah, Jose, Kyron, Monte, Slade and Preston; nieces, Christina, Ariel, Ana, Elise, Angela, Maya, Malaya, Brenda, Magdalyn, Luna, Makayo, Meadow and Prya; grandnephew, Jacob; Steve "Pops" McNamara, and a wealth of extended family and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ramon S. Martinez; and will be reunited with his brothers, Bartolome "Mello" Alberto Ahedo and Roque Joaquin Ahedo.
Manuel was born July 8, 1985. He spent most of his life in Cedar Rapids. He was a fiercely devoted father and son who loved and adored his kids more than anything else in the world.
Manuel lived life to the fullest and every day like it was his last. He drove through life like he stole and he will be greatly missed.
