Loebig, Minnetta Maxine
Minnetta Maxine Loebig, 97, of Marion, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at Willow Gardens, Marion. Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marion, conducted by the Rev. David O'Connor. Family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will take place at a later date. Arrangement by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Marilyn Duffy of Merrillville, Ind., and Karen Williams of Marion; son, Keith Loebig of Fountain Valley, Calif.; brother, Royal Molander, and sister, Beverly McCormick, both of Garner, Iowa; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, and one son-in-law.
The daughter of Frederick and Clara (Heimendinger) Molander, she was born Aug. 19, 1916, in Humboldt. She married Mike Loebig on Feb. 18, 1936, in Britt. Minnetta was a homemaker for 28 years and worked at Sears Roebuck for 18 years, retiring in 1979.
She was a member of National Catholic Society of Foresters for 60 years. After she and Mike retired they traveled.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and volunteers at Hospice of Mercy.
Minnetta was a special mother and grandmother. She was loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
