Victor Osa Walker, 91, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, June 7, 2014, following a brief illness. No local services will be held. Burial will be in
Florida.
Victor was born May 2, 1923, in Trenton, Mo., to Charles Walker and Clarinda Lucille "Clara" Goodman. He married Shirley Smith and had three daughters, Karen Voss, Susan Orient and Vicki Ross; and a son, Randall Walker.
They divorced and he married Alma Allen. He became the stepfather of Clara Davis, Dale Allen and Elaine Culp.
There are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles F. and Donald; a sister, Dorothy Kruse; two half sisters, Beulah Shuler and Maggie Ruble; a half brother, Abraham Walker; and his ex-wife, Shirley.
He worked at Link Belt Speeder for many years. He retired and eventually spent his final years with the love of his life, Alma, in New Smyra Beach, Fla.
He will be missed.
