Frances Lynn Cox Horrigan, 56, of Chelsea, formerly of Perry, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at Grinnell (Iowa) Regional Hospital. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Haven Community Church, Haven, by Pastor Charles Johnson. Visitation: from 9:30 a.m. to service time at the church.
Surviving are her husband, Steven W. Horrigan; daughter, Reyna L. Horrigan; brother, Jim Cox; sisters, Pam McAllister, Patty (Billy) Devilbiss and Rose Kruse; and stepchildren, William (Lisa) Horrigan and Wendy (Nacho) Trevizo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Francine Lynn Cox; sister, Donna Meyer; nephew, Andrew Peterson; in-laws, Kenny and Nadine Horrigan; and many aunts and uncles.
Lynn was born Feb. 4, 1958, to Francis and Shirley (Lennie) Cox. She went to school in Perry, Iowa, and lived there for most of her life. She worked at Woodward State Hospital School before returning to the Tama area in 1988. She was united in marriage to Steven Horrigan on Feb. 16, 1990, and they adopted Reyna Horrigan in 1999.
She enjoyed crocheting, antiques, collecting dolls, and collecting family history for her family.
Memorials may be directed to her family or American Cancer Society in her name.
