Siulin Anne Klein, 50, of Hiawatha, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a brief illness. A memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church,
officiated by the Rev. Mark Ressler. The family will greet friends one hour before the service at the church. Entrusted with arrangements is Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids.
Siulin is survived by her husband, Kenneth J. Klein of Hiawatha; three daughters, Rachel Klein of Murrieta, Calif., Kaitlyn Klein of Des Moines and Sarah Klein of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren, Darren and Iris of Murrieta, Calif.; her parents, Mavis and Dan Shaw of Murrieta, Calif.; two brothers, Dan (Hui) Shaw of Fort Worth, Texas, and Mark (Rebecca) Shaw of Minneapolis; and a special companion, her dog, Theodore.
Siulin Anne Klein was born May 12, 1964, in St Paul, Minn., and was the oldest child of Dan and Mavis Shaw. Siulin married Kenneth J. Klein on June 2, 1984, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The two met while employed at the 42nd Street Hy-Vee in Cedar Rapids. Siulin was a registered nurse and graduated from St Luke's School of Nursing in Cedar Rapids. She was employed by UnityPoint Urgent Care in Marion.
She was a great Christian and enjoyed donating her time to St. Martha Parish (Murrieta, Calif.) through religious education and helping in the office. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and the outdoors.
Her beautiful smile, kind nature and deep spiritual convictions inspired all she knew. She will always be remembered as a truly inspirational gift from God.
