Terese Bridget (Walsh) Snyder, 73, of Marion, formerly of Des Moines, died Wednesday, Dec. 3,
2014, in Marion. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services and burial will take place at a later date in the Walsh family plot, Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines.
Survivors include her children, Diane (Bruce) Giebelstein and Shelly (Jeff) Berry; brothers, Micheal Walsh and Patrick Walsh; sister, Joan Greenwalt; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Anne Marie Walsh and Mary Justine Halsey; brother, Lawrence (Tommy) Walsh; nephews, Joseph Greenwalt and Larry Halsey; and her son, Patrick B. Burke.
Terese was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on June 2, 1941, to Lawrence and Gertrude (Gavin) Walsh. Terese grew up in Des Moines and attended St. Joseph's Academy. She held numerous secretarial and office positions throughout her lifetime. She had a love for music of all kinds from the Irish Rovers, Herb Alpert to Pavarotti. Her greatest passion was for books.
