Janice "Jane" Ette, 73, of Center Point, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, after a lengthy illness. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, conducted by Pastor John Caughron Sr. Family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, at the funeral home. Burial: Center Point Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Ette of Center Point; two daughters, Andria (Vic) Jones of Center Point and Janine (Rich) Pasker of Vinton; "son," Chris (Shelly) Troup of Center Point; stepsons, Michael V. Ette of Brandon and Robert Ette of Marion; stepdaughter, Tammy Rudd of Donnellson; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and very special friends, Roger and Barb Meister of Vinton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a half brother.
Jane was born March 1, 1941, in Altoona, Iowa, daughter of Floyd and Mildred Irons. On Aug. 5, 1978, she married Michael A. Ette at First Christian Church in Center Point. Jane worked as a waitress for many years. She retired from the Pizza Place in 2006. Jane enjoyed watching and shopping the QVC Network.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
