Mary J. Kramer, 93, longtime Coralville resident, died peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, at Windmill Manor Care Center. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Iowa
City, with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Coralville. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, Iowa City.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her memory.

Mary Jane Scott was born Sept. 25, 1921, on the family farm near Albia, Iowa, the daughter of Roy and Nellie (Cain) Scott. Following graduation from Albia High School, she received her teaching degree before she was 18. She later attended nursing school at the State University of Iowa. She was united in marriage to Nels Rudolph Malmberg on May 24, 1941. She later married Harry F. Kramer on Feb. 8, 1957. For many years, she worked for ACT. She also worked at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and as a poll worker for Johnson County for many years.
She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, Coralville American Legion Auxiliary and Farm Bureau.
Mary was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. She enjoyed her flower gardens, cooking, canning, traveling, caring for others, and fishing often! But most of all, she loved being mom and grandma to her family.
Her family includes sons and their wives, Terry and Mary Lee Malmberg of Cedar Rapids and Randy and Leta Kramer of Lone Tree; grandchildren, Michael Kramer (Genna), of North Liberty, Vanessa Kramer (Jamie Vance) of North Liberty, Nicholas Kramer (Sasha) of Iowa City, Matthew Malmberg (Barbara) of Cedar Rapids and Michael Malmberg of North Liberty; great-grandchildren, Dillon, Emily, Zachary, Alyssa, Maria, Aubrey and Lucas; and siblings, Edith Blomgrem, Richard Scott, Charles Scott, Raymond Scott and Alice Fontinel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry; daughter, Cheryl Malmberg; and her brother, Verdell Scott.
