Mary Lorena Ullrick, 92, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, at Living Center West. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Garden of the Cross. A visitation will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home following the graveside service.
Mary was born April 12, 1922, in Fairfield, Iowa, to Clifton Raymond and Katy Elizabeth (Abbey) Hootman. She attended school in Fairfield. Mary was united in marriage to Merle L. Ullrick on Nov. 15, 1947, in Cedar Rapids. She worked as a retail clerk at Killian's, Armstrong's and later The Springhouse in Cedar Rapids.
She is survived by a son, Larry (Michelle) Ullrick of Cedar Rapids; daughter-in-law, Cheri Sheronick of Marion; two grandsons, Tim and Shawn Ullrick, both of Marion; and three great-grandsons, Devin, Ethan and Xander Ullrick.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Merle, in 2000; son, Ron Sheronick; infant son, Michael; and two sisters, Agness Smith and Betty Fugate.
A memorial fund has been established in Mary's name.
